Newly Constructed Walk of Fame Honors Green Jacket Recipients

\"The Winner,\" the statue that overlooks the Stowe Stadium tennis courts, will have a new addition this year, a Walk of Fame honoring the tournament\'s Green Jacket recipients.

The Green Jacket is the highest accolade awarded to a volunteer, and each of the 47 winners will be honored with a brick on the path leading to the sculpture.

On Friday, July 27 at 12:15 p.m., there will be a ceremony honoring the retiring David Markin, who served as tournament referee for 32 years and Timon Corwin, who is leaving his position as tournament director after 15 years of service. Likenesses of Markin and Corwin and the brick walk will be unveiled at the ceremony, which will feature remarks by the mayor of Kalamazoo, Hannah McKinney.
