Zabaleta wins National City Bank Professional Exhibition over Jeff Tarango, 8-6 in an 8-game pro-set Exhibition. The two as short-notice replacements put on a good show keeping the attending fans entertained and at times on the edge of their seats. With youth and power on Zabaleta's side, experience worked well to keep the exhibition competitive.

In the doubles exhibition, featuring Zabaleta and Tarango against the 2000 18's Doubles #1 seed, K.C. Corkery and Brian Wilson, the professionals won 8-3.

In addition to the two matches, the opening ceremony was a celebration of Rolla Anderson's 80th birthday, and the tremendous enthusiasm, time, and effort he has provided youth tennis, the USTA, and Michigan tennis for over 40 years. Congratulations and Thank You to Rolla Anderson!
