The top seeded 18 doubles team of Prakash Amritraj from Encino, CA and Stephen Amritraj from Calabasas, CA lost a tough Round of 16 match-up Tuesday to the fourteenth seeded team of Brent D'Amico and Philip Sheng. D'Amico, of Aurora, CO, and Sheng, of Thousand Oaks, CA, broke serve twice early in the first set to lead 3-0, before the Amritraj cousins eventually fought back to force a first-set tiebreak. D'Amico and Sheng won the tiebreak 8-6, and would go on to take the second set and the match 6-4.

In the 16s Doubles Round of 16, the top-ranked duo of Sukhwa Young, from Wesley Chapel, FL, and John Isner, of Greensboro, NC, dropped a three-set contest to the fourteenth seeded team of John Pettit (Monterey, CA) and Eric Roberson (Sacramento, CA). Roberson and Pettit won the match by a score of 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.
