Fish, Ginepri Headliners at Exhibition
Robby Ginepri , 21, is very familiar to Kalamazoo tennis fans, winning 16s singles and doubles titles here in 1999. The following year he reached the singles final and won another national doubles championship. He joined the ATP tour in 2001 and last year won his first title in Newport. Ginepri, who lives in Marietta, Georgia, is ranked 57th on the ATP listing.
Fish and Ginepri play a singles pro set, then team up to play doubles against the number one seeded Boys 18 doubles pairing, Brendan Evans and Scott Oudsema. Evans, of Key Biscayne FL and Oudsema from Portage, recently won the Junior Wimbledon doubles title.
The National City/RX Optical Exhibition begins at 7:30 p.m. It is part of the opening ceremonies at the Boys 18 & 16 National Championships. Tickets can be purchased here on the website or by calling 269-337-7343.
