Day Four of the Tournament

A glorious day of tennis today at the Boys Supernational Hard Court Tournament in Kalamazoo. Mostly sunny skis prevailed along with a gusty wind, met the 16's and 18's third round. The top seed and defending champion in the 18's Philip King from Long Beach, California advanced rather easily over Jayson Hazley from Brandenton, Florida. Next up for King in the fourth round is Evan Austin of Naples, Florida. Number one seed in the 16's Rajeev Ram of Carmel, Indiana advanced to the fourth round with a straight sets win over Jason Weining of Aurora, Colorado. Most seeded players advanced, with the exceptions of number 17 in the 18's Todd Widom, and number 14 seed, Philip Sheng. The Stowe Stadium crowd was treated to a hometown victory as unuseeded Eric Hodgman of Kalamazoo advanced to the fourth round. Hodgman defeated Jason Cordova, 6-0 and 6-4. Next up for Hodgman is 12th seed Sukhwa Young of Florida.
